Sax

La storia del Sax, simbolo per eccellenza del Jazz, inizia nel 1841.
Adolphe Sax cercò per tutta la vita di perfezionare gli strumenti a fiato: inventò diversi dispositivi per migliorarne l’intonazione, il suono e la facilità di esecuzione.
Sax  arrivò a depositare 33 brevetti, tra cui quello del Sax il 22 giugno del 1846.

Il suo primo uso pubblico in un concerto avviene il 3 Febbraio 1844.
Il compositore Hector Berlioz, grande amico di Adolphe Sax, diresse in concerto il suo corale Canto Sacro, trascritto dall’autore appositamente per tutti i nuovi strumenti prodotti dall’inventore, tra cui il sassofono.

The history of the Saxophone, the quintessential symbol of Jazz, begin in 1841.
Adolphe Sax tried all his life to refine the wind instruments: he invented several devices to improve the intonation, the sound and the ease of execution.
Sax came to deposit 33 patents, including the one of the Saxophone on 22 June 1846.

Its first public use in a concert takes place Feb. 3, 1844.
The composer Hector Berlioz, a close friend of Adolphe Sax, conducted in concert his choral Hymne Sacrée, transcribed by the author for the new tools produced by the inventor, including the saxophone.
