A Roma esiste una strada che collega la zona nord della città con quella est.
Un tratto di questa strada (chiamata tangenziale) percorre la città in mezzo ai palazzi, come nelle città degradate che hanno immaginato gli scrittori cyberpunk…
Agli inizi degli anni cinquanta, si presentò il problema di collegare i quartieri a sud di Roma con i quartieri a nord.
I lavori di costruzione della futura tangenziale iniziarono ufficialmente nell’ottobre del 1963.
Il tratto che si vede nella foto, è stato costruito solo dieci anni dopo, nel maggio 1975.
In quello stesso anno questo tratto è stato teatro di un celebre inseguimento automobilistico tra banditi e il commissario Betti (interpretato da Maurizio Merli) nel film poliziesco “Roma violenta”.
Questo tratto per i Romani è famoso per essere stato la location di una delle scene più famose del film “Fantozzi” in cui Paolo Villaggio prova maldestramente a prendere l’autobus scendendo al volo dal balcone di casa che si trova a pochi centimetri…
Anni fa è stato approvato un progetto che prevede l’eliminazione della sopraelevata.
