Statua vivente – Living staue

Sono artisti di strada, che posano restando immobili come una statua.

L’artista si trucca e indossa un costume replicando un personaggio o una statua famosa
(come il Tutankhamon della foto).

Lo scopo di una “statua vivente” è quello di stupire e divertire il passante.
Se si lascia cadere una monetina nel cestino a piedi della statua, questa magicamente prende vita (con grande stupore e un po’ di paura da parte dei bambini).

Ovviamente la durata e la complessità del piccolo show è proporzionata al valore dell’offerta.

They are street performers, posing as statues.

The purpose of a ‘living statue’ is to amaze and amuse the passerby.
If you drop a coin in the basket at the foot of the statue, it magically comes to life (with astonishment and a bit of fear in children).

Obviously the duration and complexity of the little show is proportionate to the value of the bid.
